Celtic-inspired jewellery brand, Solvar, asked Pierce Communications to make an assessment of their position in the home market (Ireland) and provide marketing support which positioned them apart (and above) the many low price, new entrants to the market. From extensive retailer and in-store research the critical factor for driving sales was branding / packaging and POS. The majority of purchases are “self select.” The importance of impactful, distinctive presentation in store was clear.
It was noted that Solvar’s designs are based on Irish symbols all of which have a story or legend. For visitors to Ireland buying Solvar, there was the scope to add immense value and drove the creation of new engaging brand names, new packaging and in-store display, all of which allowed for the stories behind the design to unfold.
