Following a visit to Uganda last year to experience the extreme poverty people face daily, Richard Moore, Director at Linden Foods, encouraged other local businessmen in Northern Ireland to embark on a unique “Water for Life” challenge to raise much needed funds for the aid effort in East Africa.
Those taking part pledged to raise £200,000 over 2 years, including the mountainous challenge of climbing Northern Ireland’s highest mountain, Slieve Donard, carrying a 25 litre Jerrycan filled with water. The significance of the challenge was that it symbolised a daily effort undertaken by people in that region.
To support this initiative, we were more than happy to get involved and donate our time in designing and developing a brand identity, and a direct marketing mailer /information leaflet/sponsorship form and a web page to promote the project. This is a really worthy cause as the £200,000 raised will buy a drilling rig as well as funding the fist 25 wells dug, providing water for over 1000 people.
